Why not just make named parameter of @Verbatim which holds the number of spaces
each tab represents. It could default to 4 (like UNIX). This number could be
passed to the verbatim filter as a commandline parameter, and that program
could take care of the tab-to-space conversion. There is no call for an extra
program.
