Inserting text before any large-scale structure

Hello,

I sometimes find it useful to insert text before any large-scale structure.
However, this is not possible when using the `report' and `book' styles.
I tried the obvious thing of actually inserting text and enclosing it into
the necessary @Font, @Break, @Color and @Language calls but this lays out
the text somewhere after the last section (I'm using the `report' style).

Is there a way to get around it, beside using the `doc' style?
