Follow-up Comment #14, bug #50837 (project lwip):

I will try LWIP 2.0.2 within the next few days to see if I can reproduce the
issue.

Just for sanity sake, I ran the test again and observed that there were
approximately 85 Mbox errors during the "sys_mbox_trypost()" function call.  I
hope this can help narrow down the timer responsible to do the socket
operation.  While the mailbox errors are going up, I do not see any activity
of any sort on the Wireshark.
