About keeping a cache.

As an OPTION for those with FAST machines but SMALL
disk allowed:

Gzip doesn't take so long to run (well, takes longer
to compress than to uncompress.  Maybe exists some
less compressive but faster scheme?)

Anyway, this cache could, if the OPTION is turned on
(a RUNTIME option, NOT compiled-in!!!), the cache would
be kept compressed.

Of course, if the zipping program couldn't be found, it
might issue a thrice-only warning (being quiet
after the third warning), but of course would
simply work as "normal" after that, NOT crashing.

Maybe even the first time, ask user if he wants to
change his caching policies -- now that it is known
that the prog can't be found.
