Oh, are internal links the same as hidden or invisible links?
I was one involved in that exchange with fote and klaus.

Fote wanted to remove them altogether so they weren't visible
except on the list page.  I wanted them to be numbered like
visible links so as to see the context when links-are-numbered was turned on.
(My main reason was that sometimes links are invisible because of parser error
recovery on bad html, and so the auther of the website may not have intended
to make them invisible.)

Klaus I believe compromised by picking up fote's code but adding command line
options to handle hidden links in various ways.

So you want to remove Klaus' compromise code?
