Thanks for your research. I agree that "msvc" should be removed.

Well, it depends on the point of view. Do you want to describe the
cross compiler or the cross libraries? If you focus on the libraries,
HOST is a better choice. However, if you think of the compiler, HOST
would be wrong and TARGET would be correct.
As the cross compiler is the central component of mingw-cross-env,
I thought that TARGET would be the more natural choice.
However, in case it appears that this choice confused new users,
I'd switch it to HOST. But currently, I think that HOST would be
more confusing than TARGET.
