Doesn't work for me just yet. I've tried both

gcc_VERSION  := 4.6.2
gcc_CHECKSUM := 691974613b1c1f15ed0182ec539fa54a12dd6f93

and

gcc_VERSION  = 4.6.2
gcc_CHECKSUM = 691974613b1c1f15ed0182ec539fa54a12dd6f93

but mxe still builds 4.7.0.

When I try to pin a version I don't really expect it to be updated,
nor do I use "make update" all that often in the first place, but yes,
I'll keep it in mind :)
