[Mingw-cross-env-list] Link error: multiple symbol definitions in libdxguid.a and libstrmiids.a

I'm trying to build a Qt5 project here, but linking fails:

Since my project depends on both SDL as well as QtMultimedia, both 
libdxguid.a (SDL) as well as libstrmiids.a (Qt5) are needed.  I'm not 
sure what these libraries are, but are they supposed to be mutually 
exclusive?  What can I do about this?
