[Mldonkey-users] Is mldonkey completely banned from edonkey network?

I used it from 1.14 up to the latest cvs version.
Since leaving 1.16 I noticed a rapidly slow down in
the performance. A lot of problems connecting "good"
servers, finding responding sources with constant
uploads.

It seems to me that this "lugdunum and emule
connection" has entered the scene and kicked us
mldonkey-users out of business.

Why I'm talking this crap?

I installed emule in a testenvironment and putted some
links into the downloadsqueue (most of them are in my
mldonkey-queue for *weeks*). It connects even to
lugdunum-servers, it finds less sources but they
allowed a connection and offer a higher upload. I did
this several times with allmost the same results.

This is a very frustrating situation.

Before questions came up about my mldonkey-config:
Everytime I' installing a new Version I delete the
downloads.ini file and let mldonkey create a new one.
I change only the up- and download-rate, temp- and
incoming-folder and all the other less dangerous
things (port, mailadress, server age etc.).

What about a feature-freeze (especially this multi-net
stuff) and a further investigation of the real
goals/problems? A well behaving and good performing
edonkey-client?

My last word about the edonkey-documentation: Is there
one? If somebody takes a look into downloads.ini,
he/she will be flooded by options that causes more
confusion than anything else. Hide the dangerous
options (that can cause trouble to the servers and
other clients). There should be only ten options to
set up the client. Keep it simple but keep is running.

Okay thats all for today. Please forgive my horrible
english. It's not my native language.

Maybe I should put a eye on ocaml to take part in the development...
