Cant help you with that problem but try the following:

cvs -d:pserver:address@hidden:/cvsroot/mldonkey login
cvs -z3 -d:pserver:address@hidden:/cvsroot/mldonkey co mldonkey
cd mldonkey
./configure --enable-batch
make depend
make

When prompted for a password just press enter - but i didnt had to
tell you that....;)

This works for me (3 minutes ago - to test pangos multi-patch)
If its still the same error i guess some patches failed...look for *.rej
