Hi.

I made some tests and discovered protocol 61 is, by an order of a
magnitude, worse than protocol 59.

Using 61, it took about an hour to connect to a server and the download
rate after this was, well, nonexistant (0.1 to 0.5), after killing the
core, switching back to 59 and restarting it, the server was
connected after 5 minutes, the download rate was back at 7.6kByte/s.

Then I killed the core again, reset the protocol to 61, restartet it and
got the same worse results as before.

Switching back to 59 and everything was smooth again.

So, if you use the pango-patches and suffer from worse download rates,
please try to set the protocol to 59.

BOFH excuse #376:

Budget cuts forced us to sell all the power cords for the servers.
