It's a long story and it involves things like having the need to check
out hyperthreading, a cool offer, buying a PC intended for home-use but
using it only in the office, flying stuffed pigs which are statically
charged and more like that ;-)

And then again: Sometimes I am using the machine as a test-server and
for reading email/browsing the web and all this is not affected by
mldonkey using 400 connections.

But we are rapidly getting off-topic...
