[Mldonkey-users] Too many connections?

Hi,

I get rthe following results on these commands:

bash-2.05b# lsof -P -n -i | grep mldonkey | wc -l
    732
bash-2.05b# lsof -P -n -i | grep mldonkey | grep ESTABLISHED|wc -l
    534


But my settings for connections are:

max_opened_connections = 250
max_indirect_connections = 100

Is there something I didn't understand on the command "lsof"?
Or is MLDonkey really greedy for connections?

I tested this behaviour on many versions since 2.03.
