Ten seconds of downtime break all your connections? This is really fragile.
Seeing this it's no surprise I can't hold a connection for more than a few 100 KBytes over my ISDN connection. Jamming the full bandwidth for a few seconds happens on a regular base at 64kBit/s. A few hostname lookups are sufficient to do so.
Anybody knows wether this is mldonkey specific? Specific for the donkey protocol? Other tools like ftp or ssh don't have such trouble, they hold breath for a far longer time until they decide the remote host hast died.
