Hi,I've got servers which after each boot get a different drive name from the /dev/sd[a-z] pool assigned.
The solution to this is to use for example /dev/disk/by-uuid/484a2f10-2f70-46b5-b235-f63d55b5ccef instead of /dev/sdX. This is what is used in /etc/fstab to correctly mount the partitions.
However monit does not support by-uuid giving an access error. The reason for this is, I assume, that /dev/disk/by-uuid/484a2f10-2f70-46b5-b235-f63d55b5ccef is a symlink pointing to ../../sda1 and not a real device itself.
Please support symlinks as devices. Thanks! -- Aleksander Kamenik System Administrator Krediidiinfo AS an Experian Company Phone: +372 665 9649 Email: address@hidden http://www.krediidiinfo.ee/ http://www.experiangroup.com/
