[Monotone-devel] ACX_PTHREAD problem

Hi,

I tried to compile the new release on my iBook and my Debian (Sarge) box.
I pull from off.net and checked out via

monotone --db=~/Monotone/monotone.db co t:monotone-0.17 monotone-0.17

. After

aclocal && autoconf && automake -a (no errors)

I ran 

./configure 

and got

[...]
checking if setlocale() and nl_langinfo() works... yes
checking for pthread_mutex_lock... yes
./configure: line 6402: syntax error near unexpected token `newline'
./configure: line 6402: `              ACX_PTHREAD('

. I haven't used autotools this much, so I can't tell whats going wrong
here. Any suggestions?

btw. I'm running autoconf 2.59 and automake 1.9.5.
