Two things here:

a) I'm with Derek that command names could need an overhaul, maybe by
introducing new command aliases and deprecating the old commands. If you
go for sub-commands you have to notice though that there is (yet) no way
to specify/display specific options for them. A common problem for some
automate sub-commands which allow options...

b) Totally off-topic here, but: What should now happen to my
commit_without_-b branch? Could we please find a consense on

  i) what other magic it should do it currently doesn't do

 ii) how to name the options for the other magic, if applicable

?
