Test results on MinGW for b13449292bbdcadf9f1e6515faaeee5fffc1ce7d - all pass
except:

    This appears to be a bug in the windows implementation of lua?!
    This line works:

    echo(0, nil, "'foo'")

while this doesn't:

    echo(0, nil, '"foo"')

I can't imagine why!

156 date_formatting                               FAIL (line 26) 0:00
    %T doesn't work

203 empty_environment                             FAIL (line 40) 0:02
    apparently mingw 'env' is broken


I don't think any of these are show stoppers.
