Hi Alan,

Hello everyone,

I've just put together a pack :-) Is there an easy way to feed or
scrape it so I can list its contents elsewhere?

We have an RSS feed of the items within a pack (the icon is on the right hand side of the Items box and also the pack's page should have an RSS autodiscovery to the feed):

http://www.myexperiment.org/packs/14/items.rss

Does this help?

The context is that it is a starter pack for Taverna. I could
reference the myExperiment URL of the pack from the myGrid website and
that would work. I'd prefer though to take its information and
include it into the myGrid website so it had the "right" styling etc.
I really don't want to duplicate the information on the website and
myExperiment as it will be a pain to keep in sync and is bound to be
got wrong :-)

Also, would any feed notify of updates to the contents of the pack
e.g. a new version of an example workflow?

The pack's item feed wouldn't do this, but Sergejs' working on the ability to "subscribe to a workflow/file/group" so that you can get this kind of information via a feed. Watch this space :-)

Even more also, is there any monitoring of if a referenced web page
changes?

Not yet. At the moment we don't do anything about external links... but we want to expand this in the future to be able to do something like that. Even basic monitoring like whether the external link is accessible or not might be useful.

Alan who now likes packs and so may be a "dangerous" user :-)
Is that Alan Reckless Williams now?

:-)

Jits
