Hi Ken,

That's exactly what I'm doing.

I'm not using nano's cut/paste command as I don't feel exactly confident enough to use it. I prefer to keep it simple.

So is there any option that I can use to not convert the tabs into spaces within nano, as you explained?

If so, that won't work because you copying what is displayed on the
terminal and as the tabs are expanded to spaces that's what you get.

Why aren't you using nano's text marking and cut/paste capabilities?
