Hmm. Yes, in View mode, nano should refuse to open a buffer for a
non-existent file. And it should report this on the status bar,
not on stderr, because if multiple files were specified and some
of them do exist, those should be opened normally, in View mode.
There is already a mechanism that, when after processing all the
command-line arguments zero buffers are open, switches View mode
off.
