I would say 'you are right' :)

There are some things that could be cleaner of more efficient, like the
(not so working) keyboard mapping, a function to fetch the window size
(the 'XGetWindowAttribute' snippet is pasted everywhere), DGA mouse
handling, and other tidbits ...
