Details:
In octave freshly built from mercurial, I get the following bug:
A = [1 2 3; 4 5 6; 7 8 9];
conv2(A, [1;-1])
ans =
1 2 3
3 3 3
3 3 3
-7 -8 -9
octave:72> conv2(A, [1;-1], 'valid')
ans =
-3 -3 -3
-3 -3 -3
I believe that the latter should be equal to the middle rows of the first
result.
