Follow-up Comment #23, bug #31468 (project octave):

I'm not really following all of the discussion, but all of the __go_foo__
objects in C++ are implemented uniformly with some macros. It's not easy to
make __go_text__ accept cell arguments without making every other __go_foo__
function also accept cell arguments. I can make this change, if you wish, then
potentially every property of a graphics object can be a cell. Is this
desirable?

I'm also not sure if this is still needed; Vanya, can you please test with
fltk too?
