Follow-up Comment #8, bug #34725 (project octave): Linking Octave failed in the end because the C compiler was used for linking. I'm seeing if using CXXLINK in the command used to link octave$(EXEEXT) is sufficient. I modified the generated Makefile to avoid having to run configure again.
