Follow-up Comment #3, bug #39646 (project octave):
Here is a test from my system (not the newest one):
GUI, workspace shown: 50 s
GUI, workspace not shown: 31 s
CLI: 24 s
Despite of the general overhead of the GUI the activities in the workspace
really slow down the calculation.
