Follow-up Comment #11, bug #41124 (project octave): On mac alt(option) modifier is useful to type some characters such as those mentioned in this bug report. Attached is a patch that disables the default behavior of qterminal which is to prepend the following character with esc character. This should probably be made configurable (as in mac terminal) for those who don't care about option key.
