No, I think it does not depend on the time. For example, I save the script,
wait a couple of seconds and then execute. It stills runs the old version.

I tried to wait up to five minutes, but it does not run the new version.

Do you have an idea about a quick fix or patch I could try? The current
behaviour makes octave quite difficult to use for me.
