Follow-up Comment #8, bug #43340 (project octave):

the problem is with dmg of version 3.8.2. Plot command works in the dmg of
version 3.8.0. But in this version I have found minor problems with some
commands: it is not posible to type in the command window  ], {, }, @, 
and it is not posible to recall previous commands by pressing the up- and
down-arrow keys. These problems, in contrast, are solved in version 3.8.2
