Just for information compiled under Fedora 20 x64:
octave:1> jit_enable()
ans = 1
octave:2> plot (rand (3))
octave:3> version
ans = 4.1.0+
octave:4> graphics_toolkit()
ans = fltk

Plot looks normal.
