The description of the problem is very vague
and impossible to reproduce, how do you expect
anyone to try fix your problem if you do not
explain how to produce the errors you see?
Anyway, I am surprised nurbs even installs
for you on Octave 4.0 as a new release is still
in the making to fix some incompatibilities that
should make it not even possible to compile on
Octave 4.0.
Can you try installing the nurbs package version
from the subversion repository and report whether
you still see these issues?
