Follow-up Comment #1:

Unable to reproduce here. I hold down Ctrl+C and it scrolls as long as I like,
both command line and GUI.

Might the OpenBLAS warning message you see have something to do with timing
that causes your Ctrl+C to come too fast for Octave to handle? Can you try
without OpenBLAS and see if the crash follows it?
