Details:

System: ubuntu 14.04
typical instalation with ./configure make and make install combination.
Editor window never appears. I've tried with:
* window -> show editor
* window -> editor
* ctrl + 4
* shift + ctrl + 4
open icon doesn't respond (no window to choose file appears)

If it'll be needed, I can make the screen movie:)
