Follow-up Comment #16, bug #35881 (project octave): Same result in R2016a. The same behaviour is observed if the "clear all" inside f1() is replaced with "clear functions" or "clear f2". The action of "clear all" is indeed limited to the current scope (together with the global workspace) as far as variables are concerned.
