Follow-up Comment #4, bug #48393 (project octave):
Does the 4.0.2 binary still fail? If yes, can you please try this test build?

Background: it's compiled with apple blas instead of openblas. We suspect
openblas to be guilty. This is also consistent with the fact that the standard
homebrew installation works (it uses apple blas by default).
