Follow-up Comment #33, bug #49118 (project octave):
small addition to comment #32:
The feature BCD only works in Win7 with Octave 4.2.0-rc3 if you change the
editor SETTING for text encoding to UTF-8. The default value here is "System"
which lets the features BCD still fail.
side question: Would it be a good idea to change the default value of the GUI
editor's text encoding to utf8? (Already existing m-files would still be
opened in their existing text encoding. This would just be a change for newly
created m-files.) This change might even be useful for linux octave, (maybe
even necessary, I have never tested in linux with a different system setting
than utf8.)
