Follow-up Comment #3, bug #50496 (project octave):

That doesn't quite clear things up, as there is no mention of the source of
interpreter.  The doc says legend "Text".  I assume that means both the legend
title and the entries' "displayname", but there is no specific mention of
that.  What about the line's "interpreter" property?  Is that supposed to be
present?  Maybe not.  That would make things clear if that were the case.
