Details:

All I typed was help plot and I received an error:

error:__makeinfo__:could not create temporary file
error: called from
__makeinfo__ at line 122 column 7
help at line 102 column 22

I have been searching different forums to find help for a beginner but there
are too many complicated responses that do not seem related at all. I just
wanted to see a quick definition of the command but I cannot get help commands
to pop up.
I checked octave-online.net to see if I was typing the code in wrong but it
brings up the definition for the 'plot' command.

Thank you for your time and patience.
