Follow-up Comment #16, bug #53513 (project octave):
@Dan: I don't understand. m_blockUpdate is a private member variable and is
thus only accessible from the Object itself (a Figure in your example). In
this regard I don't see how the scenarios you describe could ever happen and
how there could be any asynchronicity here (recursion at worst, and it is what
m_blockUpdates is supposed to be preventing).
