Follow-up Comment #15, bug #54235 (project octave):
"in the previous config.log that you shared, gcc and g++ are both version
4.9.2, but gfortran is version 5.5.0. Not good,"
OK, then I will update gcc. The latest version available on opencdw is 5.5.0.
(This will probably take a while, even on the M3000).
