Follow-up Comment #2, bug #56159 (project octave):

ah thanks for the pointer to 41471, consider this just about foregrounding the
dialog.  cmd-f brings it up if it does not already exist, but if it does exist
behind another window it stays hidden there.

also its location is not remembered after quitting and relaunching.
