Update of bug #56159 (project octave):
Summary: find dialog problems => [Mac] Editor Find dialog
is not brought to front of window stack when using Cmd+F shortcut

Follow-up Comment #5:
That's what I needed to know. I re-titled the report to be more specific
about what the problem is.
This behavior is likely an interaction between the window manager, window
manager settings, and Qt. As mentioned, on Linux with KDE as the window
manager, I am unable to even put the Find window behind the main Octave GUI
window.
@Torsten: Is the behavior the same for you on GNOME as it is with KDE for me?
