Works for me, thank you. I don't think this is important enough to backport to
stable.
It is worth pointing out that the epstool program also calls ghostscript
internally, and crashes hard if it's not found where it's expected. That's the
source of the
free(): double free detected in tcache 2
Aborted (core dumped)
messages. So if ghostscript is missing, epstool is also likely messed up, and
no eps output formats will work anyway. It's unlikely but possible that
epstool is configured to use a ghostscript that isn't in PATH or with an
unusual name, which I have tested and does work with this fix.
