After what appears to be a succesful build I tried to fire up octave 2.1.4 and 
got

defiant {snh} 29: ./octave
ld.so.1: ./octave: fatal: relocation error: symbol not found: : referenced in 
./octave
Killed
 
Using my limited knowledge I think that I am not picking up a lib or 
something.Any suggesstions ?
