Hello John

Today I have recieved a mail which informed me CategoryInstall pages were 
revised.
I confirmed the OctaveForGNULinux page revised.

Then I think that it is OK that you insert one sentence. Like:

For the detailed informtion of intall, please see the CategoryInstall page in 
the Octave Wiki, which
is accessable from the top page of the Octave.
  
How do you think about it ?
