My path is:

./:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/texlive/2009/bin/universal-darwin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/git/bin:/usr/texbin:/usr/X11/bin

I am sure that /usr/local/bin needs to be before /usr/bin. The gnu stuff that gets installed in /usr/local/bin needs to be found before the same things in /usr/bin. This may help, but I doubt if it is the only problem, and making this change may conflict with the way you have
your system configured for other things.

Also, a while ago I had sent an email to the list about the things needed for ./autogen.sh and ./configure. I should have included that in my recent email. Anyhow, it appears that
you found all the right versions for that.
