Please consistently use "Open" instead of "Opens" here.  The first
sentence of a doc string should be written as a command, not a


O.k. I have pushed it with the minor fixes. Since I could try this on linux 32bit and 64bit I am especially interested in reports if these function work as expected on MacOS and Windows. For a simple test you can just use:

demo uigetdir
demo uigetfile
demo uiputfile
