No, I have always assumed that to not work :-) Trying it out.. it fails on 
libstdc++ problems I have seen before (libgfortran pulls in newer libstdc++ and 
calls to different libstdc++ versions get mixed up.). For the dependencies this 
does not seem to be a problem, however.
