Using XChat Azure ...

* Looking up irc.freenode.net
 * Connecting to chat.freenode.net (174.129.221.183) port 6665...
 * Connection failed. Error: No route to host
 Cycling to next server in FreeNode...

 * Connecting to chat.freenode.net (174.129.221.183) port 6667...
 Cycling to next server in FreeNode...

... goes on for hours. But ping works.

$ ping chat.freenode.net

I tried a command line cleint, that doesn't work either. However webchat does 
work. I guess I'll stick to that.
