Ooops, sorry. Java was disabled in this build where everything worked
fine...

I have just rebuilt with Java enabled (openjdk-6) and "make check" still
fails as already described.

The output of

./run-octave -valgrind -qf --eval 'o = javaObject ("java.lang.Object"); test
dblquad'

is here :

valgrind.out.jbect.20130131b

I have built Octave with the following configuration :

  Build Octave GUI: yes
  JIT compiler for loops: false
  Build Java interface: true
Do internal array bounds checking: false
  Use octave_allocator: false
  Build static libraries: false
  Build shared libraries: true
  Dynamic Linking: true (dlopen)
Include support for GNU readline: true
64-bit array dims and indexing: false

gcc version 4.7.2 (Ubuntu/Linaro 4.7.2-2ubuntu1)
Target: i686-linux-gnu
